Evaluation06

During this year of 2006, we have been doing work on the internet with the English teacher once a week. We have opened a lot of accounts on a lot of web sites like Flickr, a web site where you can upload your photos, make comments, and also make new friends by joining pools. WordPress, the official blog that is a web site that allows us to post things, make our voice heard, and also include links of the different sites where we have opened accounts. Bloglines, a site that gives us the opportunity to aggregate other people´s blogs. Del.ici.ous, which is basically the same thing, but allows us to bring together all our bookmarks. There is also 43 things, where we can say what we want to say, and meet new people by entering tags, and 43 places, which is a site where you can be associated with people that went to the same places you have been. And Community map, where you can find places in the map. We had the ECML that was a very good project, it was the first site we entered, but it closed so we replaced it for WordPress. 

I see advantages and disadvantages. I think Flickr was very good because we where able to post our photos and so we could share a little bit of us with other people. I think wordpress was very necessary because it's our most important web site, and we can post links of other sites. I like also 43 things because it symbolizes the freedom of expression, we can say whatever we want to say. Community map was good because it was cool and fun to find places in
Sao Paulo, this site is so good that we could almost see the people walking in the streets. The ECML was also a good project as well because we where able to enter all the blogs we wanted, but it closed and we had to bring all our post from there to WordPress. And there is also 43 places, that's the one I liked the most because we could enter sort of communities of places we have been or we wanted to go and associate with people. I definitely hated Bloglines, it was very difficult to use that site, and it was very boring, there were not many cool things about this website. Del.ici.ous was very unnecessary I think, because it's basically the same thing that Blog lines, it allows us to bring together all our accounts. 

I got some suggestions for the classes that will come. Don't think that because you are in the computer room you won't have work to do and will be able to pass you time in Orkut because you have to work really hard, you have to open a lot of accounts, you have to take a lot of pictures, make a lot of posts, comments. So for the classes that will come here goes and advice: always do your work, don't forget to post things, don't forget to you comments, and don't forget to take pictures. Work hard, don't give up.
